NLS Testing - Local language testing

Post by Ceaser » Fri Sep 11, 2015 7:45 am

hi,
I am verifying some text in UI using Ranorex.

Could any one suggest best solution which Ranorex supports for my requirement, given below:

I have to change the UI string( which is given as test-data) to be verified according to the language selected.
so that I can reuse my test for any language by changing the test-data.

regards,
Ceaser

Hello Ceaser,

Generally, the RanoreXPath is built using specific path weight rules.
It could happen that the generated path contains attributes, which are language-dependent.
In order to change this, you can edit the path after tracking an element with Ranorex Spy.

After changing to the Path Editor, please select attributes, which are language-independent (e.g. 'ID').
Which attributes are available in your case, depends on the technology of your application and how the application is implemented.

Please check, which attributes are qualified for a language-independent test.
If you need assistance, please upload a Ranorex Snapshot of your application or send it to [email protected].

Please let me know if you need more information.

Regards,
Johannes
