Object weighting problem from Spy

Post by rastek » Sun Oct 30, 2016 2:32 pm

Can someone help me on weitghing ? I see I can not change two at a time. I added a new weight rule pressing plus button, change both control id and instance, but whatever I change the other one goes back to original, can somebody tell its reason to me ?

My other question is, in SPy I see that there are few rules plus mine, when ı open Ranorex Studio how will I know which rule I am using ? all of them ?

Hi,

All rules with green check mark are applied. You can either disable or delete unwanted rules.

As for changing two attributes at a time, you just have to create two rules. But typically, it's enough to increase/decrease the weight value of just one attribute. Just make sure (by examining the default values of available attributes) that your changed attribute has higher/lower value than the attribute you want to prioritize/eliminate for/from the xpath building process.
