OCR in Ranorex

Post by BeardMJ » Fri Jul 14, 2017 9:59 am

My SUT uses a specific in hourse text, where can i find out what Ranorex texts it can read? I understand it won't be able to read it but it would be good to understand how the tool reads text.

I use Ranorex's GDI Capture facility to read text on my AUT. It has been incredibly useful and meant I didn't need to look at an OCR solution in my case.

I'm afraid, there is no build-in OCR support in Ranorex. So if the GDI capture (mentioned by Stub) is not working for you, you will have to implement your own OCR solution (most probably using a 3rd party OCR library).
