How can I get the amount of mails in folder created in Outlook?
When I use Spy, I only get the name of the folder but not the number how many mails in the folder.
Outlook mail count
Re: Outlook mail count
Hi,
The question is, if you see the number of emails in that particular folder? By default, Outlook displays only number of unread emails available in the individual folders. If you read all emails, the number disappears. If you want to get total number of emails, you need to enable this in folder's properties. Then you should be able to extract the total number of emails...

Re: Outlook mail count
Thank you for your answer.
I have a setting in use that shows the unread emails and I am interested about this number.
When I check my Outlook and have created a folder "Test_mails", it will show "Test_mail 3" if there are 3 unread mails
And when using Spy, I only get the name "Test_mail" but cannot get the amount value. (2) in image

Re: Outlook mail count
Hi,
I'm afraid, it works for me without any problem (Office 365, Outlook version 1810). So if it does not work with your version of Outlook, it's most probably a MS thing? Have you tried to enable GDI Capture List (for parent container) to extract RAW texts?

Re: Outlook mail count
I am using:
Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2016
Version: 16.0.4266.1003 (64-bit)
Can it be that I do not get this value because of this Office version?
" Have you tried to enable GDI Capture List (for parent container) to extract RAW texts?"
=> not have tried this yet
