Hi,
I just upgraded to Ranorex 5.4. However, it seems that none of the UI elements can be identified in Chrome
I am using Chrome Version 43.0.2357.134 m.
However, so far I don't have any issues with firefox and IE.
Any idea?

Have you updated the Ranorex Chrome Extension from the Chrome Web Store since you updated Ranorex?
Is the Ranorex Chrome Extension enabled? Sometimes it gets turned off when updating, especially since the Chrome version must be re-downloaded from the Chrome Web store.

Shortcuts usually aren't...

I don't remember if i updated the Ranorex Chrome Extension during the upgrade.
however, when I notice it is not working, I remove the Ranorex extension from Chrome and re-downloaded from Chrome Web store. The version of the extension is 1.0.9 and actually is the same version as the deleted one.

Hi,
If you want to automate Chrome UI elements, you must enable global accessibility mode in Chrome accessibility settings, as described here:

Ranorex plugin for chrome is just for web elements displayed inside Chrome browser, not Chrome UI elements!

Hi Pavel,
I used Ranorex Chrome Extension before and I didn't need to set Chrome accessibility settings unless for the Chrome SSL warning page.
Well, today all the mapped elements are suddenly recognized by Chrome browser. I didn't do anything and the Chrome accessibility is in off mode by default.
It is bizarre.
thanks,
Betty
