Ranorex custom re-run component

Post by Leonard558 » Mon Jun 10, 2019 7:16 am

Since Ranorex does not provide re-run functionality from under the hood, I have to write my own and before I started, just want to ask for advice from people who've done it or maybe possible existing solution on the market.

Goal is:

In the end of the run, to re-run failed test cases.

Requirements:

Amount of recursive iterations should be customized

If Data binding is used, should include only Iterations for Data binding that failed

Hi,

Ranorex provides simple rerun functionality for failed test cases or smart folders. The only difference of what you've described is, that it reruns failed TCs/SFs immediately after the failure, not at the end of test run. And of course, you can specify the retry count for each TC/SF. Simply select TC/SF and in its Properties set a non-zero retry count...
