I know that QTP supported technologies including:
a) Web based applications
b) Windows based applications
c) .Net applications
d) Swing Applications
e) SAP
f) Oracle Applications
g) Siebel
h) ActiveX applications
i) Peoplesoft
j) Mainframe terminal emulators
k) Web Services
l) Terminal Emulator
m) Delphi
n) Power Builder
o) Windows Mobile
p) SOAP
q) JAVA
r) WPF
s) Stingray 1
t) Flex

RANOREX can provide testing to which of them and others not included?
QTP use Add-In to apply this, RANOREX should create our Plug-In by ourself?

Re: Ranorex supported technologies
Surely you don't test AUTs written in each technology!?!?
Why not just list the ones you are interested in (i.e. what you AUT is) and compare that list.
Check out this list of supported technologies right on Ranorex's website: http://www.ranorex.com/automate-testing ... tware.html
Finally, the best thing to do with *ANY* automation tool before you purchase it is to try it for yourself and verify it works for you. Ranorex makes that easy with their free trial: http://www.ranorex.com/download.html

Unfortunately, I don't understand your question....gracezhang wrote: the last question could u give an answer plz:

Maybe describe what technology you are trying to test and we can help you determine if Ranorex supports it.... Also, it is still HIGHLY recommended to download the trial and test it on your AUT for compatibility.

Re: Ranorex supported technologies
I have installed the trial version RANOREX.
I noticed there are many Plug-In in the Project(pane)->References(folder)
if you used QTP before, you will know that QTP has many done Add-Ins, except the default 3 ones, the others are optional, according to testing target. If we need additional Add-In, we pay for it additionally.
I consider the Plug-In of RANOREX is similar to QTP Add-In.
I just don't know these Plug-Ins are created by testers or provided by RANOREX company as the done products.

Re: Ranorex supported technologies
I don't believe Ranorex has opened the API in such a way for end users to create their own plug-ins. That being said, you do not need to purchase any additional plug-ins from Ranorex as you do from QTP. With the Ranorex license you are given the right to use any of the technology plug-ins that are available...
