Ranorex XPath Generation mode in repository settings

I cannot find anything in the user manual about the advanced tab of the repository settings. Can someone explain exactly what the xpath generation mode as well as the path weight and generation mode or point me there? Thank you.

Thank you for your post.

Unfortunately, there is no specific documentation regarding the RanoreXPath generation mode and the "Edit path build options...". It is not recommended to change these settings, since they are mainly used for backwards compatibility. "StepCostReduce" is the recommended build mode.

I could have sworn I saw reference to it in a recent webinar. I wish I could remember which one. Ah well. I have no specific question.
