Hi ChrisN,
I'm sorry to hear you are having trouble but I would be happy to help.
Did this issue just start recently for you or has it always been like this? If it just started recently, are you able to think of anything potentially related that may have changed in your environment? I would also doublecheck the SAP automation steps if you have not yet already.
Would you be able to provide a Ranorex Report from a test run which experienced the hang?
I look forward to hearing from you!

Re: Recording Hang After SAP GUI Close
I can't present a report, because Ranorex does not create some. The Execute did not finishing. I only can say that the SAP GUI goes in the background and can't be used anymore, there are no actions more possible in this window but this is OK. The spy funktion hangs if I track or refresh. I dont execute any actions in this backgroundwindow after it is minimized so I dont understand why its hang. This is a big problem, because the whole projekt dont work without this funtion.
Tested on win7 and 10.

Re: Recording Hang After SAP GUI Close
Hi, the Problem was Ranorex tried to find a hidden SAP window, which goes in background after some actions. The solution was to disable the SAP plugin when the window is in background and not used and activate it when its needed.
"Ranorex.Plugin.SapFlavor.Instance.Enabled = false/true;"
Thanks to Ranorex Support for Help.
