Report Templates

Post by CSPman » Fri Feb 27, 2015 12:17 pm

Hi Guys

I recently created a new report template and updated it with some different headings; however when I run my test suite it always reverts to the default template. Have checked my settings and done the usual re-boots but still comes up with the default report.

I am missing something obvious here?

Regards...

Hi CSPman,

Unfortunately I was not able to reproduce this issue.
May I therefore ask you to describe in more detail which modifications you have done in the custom template?
Please also let me know which version of Ranorex you are currently using.

Thanks,
Markus (S)

Marcus....running 5.1; the only change I made was to the new report template that I had created. I updated the view.rxlog.data with a different "testsuitename" but when i run the test suite it always defaults to the Ranorex template and not the one I have created.

Hi CSPman,

Thank you for your description.
Basically, the view.rxlog.data file is a sample Report, which is created when using a custom report template. Therefore, any modification in this file will not affect your report.

Open the file 'RanorexReport5.css' to edit the style of the report according to your wishes. This file contains all information about the report style.

Please note that it is not recommended editing the .data file.
