Hi all,
we are creating PDF reports of the end of a test run with Ranorex and we have one solution with 130 test cases.
I could see that no PDF was created the last two times and had a look on the logs (we run it by using DevOps Pipeline).
There was the message : "ReportToPDF: Out of Memory"
Can someone tell me how to fix that?

Report to PDF: Out of memory
Re: Report to PDF: Out of memory
Hi,
I’m afraid, the only solution to this problem is to run your tests in smaller chunks. The result report is apparently too large to be processed to pdf format. Eventually, try to split the rxlog with this tool and then process individual files with report to pdf tool...

Re: Report to PDF: Out of memory
Hi Pavel,
thank you for the advice.
Sadly especiallly for this project our management wants a complete PDF report all in one, so if I split up this project to different test suites we will have more than one PDF. And I am trying to avoid having to merge them manually everytime...
Is there another elegant way to achieve that?
Kind regards

Hi Sebastian,
I seriously doubt that there is another way to achieve what you want. The size of report is apparently too big for PDF conversion. Out of sheer curiosity, how large is the rxlog file you trying to convert?

Re: Report to PDF: Out of memory
Hi Pavel,
what a pity.
The rxlog - file is 587 kb, the rxlog.data - file is 7.86 mb.
Kind regards

Hm, it does not sound like too big report? Have you tried to convert the report from command line (not directly from test) and on another computer?

Re: Report to PDF: Out of memory
Looks like ranorex's convertopdf has some difficutly with some parts of your output
You could try ti output as html and afterwards convert to pdf with another converter (like a print to pdf solution)
