Why when I spy on something then add to repository, does it create a new main folder? Sometimes it adds to the existing folder (WebDocumentWelcome) and sometimes it creates a new folder (WebDocumentWelcome1). I did change the folder to use the page name instead of the URL.
/dom[@page='Home.page']
But, even if I change the URL to the page name in the XPath editor when spying, it still adds a new folder (WebDocumentWelcome1) with the URL as the identifier instead of the page name.

Also, sometimes it puts things in the same folder as other similar items and renames items (adding a 1 at the end, for example). Other times, it creates a new folder (ex ContainerHBox existed, it creates ContainerHBox1 folder). I am not folloing the logic/method for how this is working.
Thanks

Hi,
It shouldn't happen if the parameters/RxPaths are the same.
Which Ranorex version are you using?
Maybe you can illustrate your issue with some pictures?

Markus

Re: Repository is becoming a mess
Hi,
I reproduced the issue an in some special cases it can happen that another rooted folder is automatically created/added.
I talked to the responsible developer and we will improve this in a future Ranorex version.
