REQUEST: Sort Repository Items alphabetically

Post by Mark Klamt » Tue Aug 13, 2013 3:53 pm

Dear support team,

at the moment, new repository items are just appended to the list in a repository. Typing the first letter helps finding the element later on, but in case of huge repositories, it may take some time.

Sorting repositories alphabetically would make it easier to find items after some time, and it would be more comfortable for people who are new in a test automation project and have to find their way into the existing structure.

Kind regards,
Mark

Placing a vote to get this feature added. Lesson learned is organize it as you go but for us with OCD tendencies even if you placed the items in a folder you have to manually organize them alphabetically. I'm trying to locate my clear button since my test stopped using it and I want to delete or edit the repository item and I'm scrolling up and down. I left it named button since the program coder left it named button. Yeah bad practice but being able to sort by item name would help me out here. Thank you.
