Run as Admin
I have read the forum reports on selecting Advanced and checking the option to Run as Admin from the Ranorex Advanced option for the icon. But is there any file system files that require Admin level privs? What i mean is are there Ranorex system files (logs, etc) that require Admin level access to write to or read from. Admin is a very high level and our Security folks don't want to give Admin rights to just any application on the network. Strange i know but this is the Dept of Defense.
Re: Run as Admin
Hi,
Admin mode is usually required only in case of debugging, because debugger simple needs to be run with admin rights. However, in some rare cases, certain UIs (as far as I remember, mainly WPF-based) require Ranorex to be run in admin mode. As long as you are not experiencing any problems with UI recognition/tracking, it should not be required to run your app and Ranorex in admin mode.
