Running tests on VM

Post by kavya13 » Tue Mar 09, 2021 11:39 am

Hello All,

As I run the tests on a VM, If I minimize or close the VM seems test’s are failing! Does it need VM to be logged in and kept active for test’s to run?

Look forward to hear from you.

Yes, the tests need a proper desktop session to interact with. We unlock the desktop on our test machine, run our tests, and relock the desktop after we're done with a test run.

On our VM's we dont use Remote Desktop for this exact reason. We run VNC server on the VM's and VNC in to them as needed. We also have the screen saver disabled as well.
