Re: Android testing - NFC reading
Hi Bernhard, I'm not asking if Ranorex can check to see if there is an NFC tag next to the device, I'm asking if there are any plans for Ranorex to add a recording module action that SIMULATES the reading of an NFC tag? In Ranorex version 5.1 the mobile testing capabilities were extended significant...

Re: Android testing - NFC reading
Hi, Thanks for the reply but I don't feel that my question has been answered. I am aware of how to go about automatating an android app using Ranorex. However, the android app that I am testing has many features one of which is the capability to read data off nfc tags. In order for the app to read d...

Re: variable values and the test case structure
Hi Markus, I'm not sure I understand your reply so i will send you a copy of my automation to better illustrate the problem. I can think of a solution but it involves restructuring my test cases and data input file. I would rather not do this if a quicker fix is available. I will email Ranorex suppo...

variable values and the test case structure
Background: My AUT is a barcode scanning web application. The application consists of a "scan" feature, which enables the user to scan the relevant barcode, and a "search" feature. The search feature enables the user to enter the barcode of the scanned item and confirms the time at which the item wa...

Re: Double clicking opens cs instead of rxrec file
I have also seen this behaviour. I think it is prone to happening when none of the actions in the recording module are linked to repository items.

Re: ranorex spy unique id setting
Hi Bernard, IMaybe I'm not fully understanding what the search by unique id feature is actually doing. Let me give you an example of what I am trying to achieve and then maybe any misunderstandings that I have will become clearer to you and you can put me right. Attached is a snapshot of a label wit...

ranorex spy unique id setting
Hi, Since Ranorex 3.3 was released, Ranorex spy can now search for elements based on their unique id (when the spy setting is enabled). E.g. .//span[#'PageLayout_lblSelectUserTitle'] Please can you advise, how should I write the Ranorex path for the element above if I want to add additional attribut...

Re: help with creating Ranorex Path
Thanks Markus, I was trying to be too clever with my Ranorex path when i don't really need to be so no further investigation needed on this one.
Thanks,
Martin

Re: help with creating Ranorex Path
Hi Ciege, Thanks for the response but writing my own user code is not a practical solution for me. I am a tester rather than a developer and I don't have extensive knowledge of C#. What I need is a solution to this problem that doesn't involve me writing user code. I was hoping that a solution could...
