Re: "Open report after execution" does not work

Hi, because this problem does not occure when I start a completly new project it might be difficult to send you a demo project. I first have to find out which part/feature/speciality of my current project triggers this behaviour. If I find the time to do so I will try to copy and strip down my curre...

Re: "Open report after execution" does not work

Hi Support Team, I replied to this post a quite long time ago. I was off the automation project for more then a year. Last week I came back into the project, installed Ranorex 3.3.4 (because my colleagues decided not to update to version 4 back then) and tried to get the test suite running again on ...

WaitForValidLicense returns true even if all lic. are in use

Hi Ranorex Users and Support Team, in our continuous integration and nightly test automation setup we need an easy way to check if a Ranorex floating license is available (or wait for a free floating license) before we start scripts to run the tests. I found WaitForValidLicense() API method http://w...

Re: "Open report after execution" does not work

Hi Ranorex Team, I just updated to Ranorex 4.0.2 from 3.3.4 and I'm facing the same issue as descibred above. The report does not open automatically after running a test in RnxStudio. The report is created and I can open it manualy from the defined output directory (which is not bin/debug but a rela...

Re: Order is inverted when setting modules as setup or teardown

Just found this problem in the fixed bugs section of the release notes for 3.3.5.
Nice, thanks!

Re: Order is inverted when setting modules as setup or teardown

I just realized that it's possible to control the final order of the modules by the order in which i select the modules while pressing CTRL key! Is that a hidden feature or a bug? Hmm... It might be helpful every now and then; but as long as you don't know this feature it can be very confusing. At l...

Order is inverted when setting modules as setup or teardown

Hi,
when selecting several modules of a test case and using the (right-click) context menu to define them as setup or teardown section then the order of the modules is inverted.

Re: Improvements I'd like to see in Ranorex

Hi Aracknid, Others can join in and add what they want to see. I think this is not a good idea at all. Collecting several issues in one thread/ticket/topic makes it very difficult for Ranorex Support Team to track them and get back to you with questions and so on. Users will not be able to find topi...

Because it's an automatic task we actually use MSBuild command line tool to build the test solution (and not MS Visual Studio itself).

Compatibility issue when using InvokeAction Maximize

Hello, we prviously had Ranorex 3.2.3 installed and with this version I created a recording module to start the SUT, which is a .NET 4.0 WinForm application running on Win7. As the last step I added an "Invoke Action Maximze" to the recording and this worked fine before the update. After updating to...

Re: Add known project dependencies to the _VS2010.sln file

It would be nice if you could give us some information about your environment. Hello Bernhard, as I said, I think it is not really an error but more like a missing feature while generating the solution file. I'm using Ranorex 3.3.2 to edit the test suite, but had the same problems with 3.2.3 which ...

Save screenshot tab state globally

Hello, I normally do not use screenshot capuring. Because there is never enough space on the screen I spent cumulated hours with closing the screenshot tab after opening a recording module. Also if you close this tab it is visible again when reopening the same module or another one. This can be very...

Add known project dependencies to the _VS2010.sln file

Hello, I started a discussion about missing project dependencies in the 'Community > Automation Discussions' forum some months ago. This has now turned into a feature request. So I think this should be better placed here. Because I don't want to duplicate the post I will just link to the other one: ...

Re: How to resolve project dependencies when using MSBuild

Hi there, Our workaround at the moment is to build the projects separatly in the correct order instead of building the solution. Meanwhile I think this problem is caused by a bug, or let's say a missing feauture in Ranorex Studio. Ranorex Studio is obviously able to resolve these project dependencie...
