Thanks Alex for pointing me into this direction!
Our IT did not update the license key, although I had expected that they had done so ...
We got it working now!
Thanks,
Juergen

License Server 5.3.x and higher does not deliver license
Hi all! In parallel we have contacted the Ranorex Support regarding this issue, but we are currently urgently searching for a solution. We have been trying to upgrade Ranorex Studio and Ranorex License Server from version 5.2.x to 5.3.x several weeks ago (currently we have installed version 5.4.1). ...

Re: PopupWatcher.Watch: How to set testcase to FAIL?
Thanks!
I've just tried your hint (static variable in class which will be set in popupwatcher method and will be evaluated at the end of the recording) and it works perfectly!
Thanks again!

Re: PopupWatcher.Watch: How to set testcase to FAIL?
Sorry, I have to come back again.
(As this is a sporadic issue, I could not test it immediately)
It will be reported as failure (Level = Failure) now, but still the Recording and the Testcase in which this Popup occurs will be shown as Passed.
Does anybody have further ideas?
Thanks,
Juergen

PopupWatcher.Watch: How to set testcase to FAIL?
As PopupWatcher.WatchAndClick reports the occurence of a popup just as Info, I tried to call my own method using PopupWatcher.Watch: myCrashWatcher.Watch(repo.dlg_ToolCrash.btn_ProgrammSchliessenInfo, myCrashWatcherFunc); public static void myCrashWatcherFunc(Ranorex.Core.Repository.RepoItemInfo myI...

Solution with 2 projects using the same (linked) repository
I have the following scenario within my solutions: I use one project as kind of "container" for general recordings (install application, start/stop application, close all open windows, ...). The second project will contain the "real" testcases and the TestRun. Both projects use the same (linked) rep...

Re: License Server Tool: Non-GUI-interface?
Exactly that's the problem: The IT has blocked remote desktop access to the license server and is not willing to release it for me. So I was thinking of running a service that will do these actions for me ... Or the license server tool has a command line option like "save server log every minute" ...?

Re: License Server Tool: Non-GUI-interface?
Thanks for your answer!
Read-only access to the log folder would be possible, but as far as I understand the Ranorex License Server tool, the server log will only be written when pressing the button "Save Server Log".
Is this right or is there a log that will be written continuously?
Thanks!

License Server Tool: Non-GUI-interface?
Our floating license is installed on a server our company IT does maintain. Therefore I cannot (easily) connect to this computer and open the GUI of the license server tool. Therefore I would like to create a service (or something similar) that (1) periodically saves the server's log file into a pub...

Re: Wait for a specific window to appear
Another solution for this could be to increase the "Search Timeout" of the Repository Item your test script will have to wait for.
Right-click the repository item, select "Properties" in the context menu and set the property "Search Timeout".

Re: Recordings not editable after opening solution as read-only
I just solved this issue! I deleted the whole solution on my local harddisk and did an update from my source control view. Thus the solution was brought back to my harddisk. Then I removed the read-only attributes and opened the solution - the recordings were editable again! :D I guess there must ha...

Re: Recordings not editable after opening solution as read-only
Larissa, you are right: This issue on my computer has nothing to do with the source control tool we use. Unfortunately neither restarting the solution nor restarting my computer did help ... I also tried to copy the whole solution to another directory and open it again (without read-only attributes)...

Re: Recordings not editable after opening solution as read-only
Thanks for your answer, Larissa! I can reproduce this issue with Ranorex Studio 4.1.1 and 4.1.2. No, the files are no longer set to read-only (unless the Win7 Explorer lies to me... ;) ). Even if I add a new recording item to this Ranorex project, it will be created and added to the projects tree. B...
