You may have done this already, but if not, check that the Ranorex extension is installed correctly, on Chrome on the remote machine. If you are running the Chrome tests in Incognito mode, also check that the extension has the "Allow in Incognito" option checked.

A colleague kindly took a look at this and figured out that you need to click on the "Legal terms" link, before the checkbox is activated, i.e. the checkbox is not activated until you click on the link.

I've entered all the required info and tried to register on https://designwise.ranorex.com/users
Registration cannot be completed until the "I agree to the Legal terms" checkbox is checked. However, this checkbox is not clickable (for me) on either Chrome or Firefox.
