Re: Renaming recordings in Rx Studio doesn't always update the .rxrec file correctly
This issue still exists, as I have inherited an existing project and I keep having to rename modules, and so I keep getting this issue. I have found an easier way to overcome it. Basically run 'Clean Solution' from the build menu. I have found that this fixes things for me in most cases and allows ...

Re: xPath syntax to navigate to one element and then another in same xPath
Thanks csaszi89, I will try that and feed back.
I hadn't realised that it was possible to stack parent/preceding/etc, so It will be interesting to try.

xPath syntax to navigate to one element and then another in same xPath
Ranorex: 10.7.2 Windows 10/11 .net 7.0.13 I'm hoping that someone can assist me in working out an xPath syntax to navigate to one element and then another in same xPath tree. I might be able to get more automation IDs added to do it an easier way, but according to the devs, with WPF that isn't alway...

Getting text from a RichTextBox
Hi, One of the elements in our AUT has changed from a standard text box to a RichTextBox, which is constructed in a completely different way to a standard textbox. Because of this change, I am now really struggling to get the text back to validate against. The text element now contains the string be...

Re: Using Ranorex 10.5.1 with MS .net 7 project?
I raised this question in a support ticket and got the following answer:
As of now, Ranorex doesn't fully support .Net 7 so we don't recommend using it with Ranorex. In the future, we have plans to support it. But we don't have any particular date just yet.

Using Ranorex 10.5.1 with MS .net 7 project?
Hi, Ranorex version: 10.5.1 OS: Win 10 and 11 Current .net version: 6.0.13 Our AUT is currently built on MS .net 6.0.13, but the dev team wants to upgrade the project to MS .net 7. Does anyone know whether this is likely to cause issues with Ranorex 10.5.1 interacting with a MS .net 7 project? Our A...

Re: Jira/Ranorex integration credentials recognised when tests are run manually but not when run via Jenkins
Hi odklizec, Sorry, I didn't make that clear in my post, but yes, I have also run the tests manually on the Ranorex instance on the remote server and the Jira credentials are being successfully passed to Jira by Ranorex. Unfortunately, I can't share my solution for confidentiality reasons. Given the...

Jira/Ranorex integration credentials recognised when tests are run manually but not when run via Jenkins
Hi, we have a Jira/Ranorex integration setup and working. When tests are run manually, the Jira credentials are successfully passed by Ranorex to Jira and Jira creates or updates tickets as needed. However, when the tests are run independently by Jenkins, Ranorex doesn't pass the credentials to Jira...

Re: Running multiple test suites with run configurations when using Jenkins and command line
What if you call your tests like this: Tests.exe /testsuite... Tests.exe /testsuite... Tests.exe /testsuite... This way the test suites are called sequentially one after another in different processes. Greetings, Gyuri Gyuri, I have tried your suggestion and it does solve the problem and is a suita...

Re: Running multiple test suites with run configurations when using Jenkins and command line
Hi csaszi89, Thank you for your reply. It does seem to fit with with the behaviour I have witnessed and it seems I had misunderstood what was possible. This does seem to be a bit of a limitation to me. @Ranorex support, is this expected behaviour and is the Jenkins Ranorex plugin going to be updated...

Running multiple test suites with run configurations when using Jenkins and command line
Hi, I have found a number of questions/answers on this forum and elsewhere regarding having to use command line to run multiple test suites when using Jenkins, because the Ranorex Jenkins plugin doesn't support multiple test suites. The problem I am having is as follows: My Ranorex/Jenkins/Remote VM...

Re: Capturing log output to store in a variable
Hi @odklizec, I got it working with your suggestions, thanks. The code is embarrassingly simple in the end. public string If_exists_YesNoPopupTitle(RepoItemInfo textInfo) { if (repo.SaveProtocolYesNoPopup.YesNoPopupTitleInfo.Exists(5000)) { Report.Success("exists"); return "exists"; } else { Report....
