OS: Windows 7 64-bit
Ranorex: 6.0

In my case, I've had to manually remove the old addon first and then install the new one via Instrumentation Wizard.

I guess some kind of fix was deployed into 5.4.0 for this but it is still not as it was before. When naming new file user cannot use space(bar) at the end of the string - it doesn't jump to the start, but it also doesn't do anything.

You were correct - option 1 - solved the issue. I've had custom layout without the module browser, and reseting the layout fixed the issue.
