Hello Team,

I was wondering if someone had a chance to look at the zip I've sent.

Re: Firefox: Changing 'class' attribute not reflected in browser

Hello Ranorex Team,

Recently I've installed Ranorex version 6.2.1 and checked if the current issue has been fixed; but is not, can be reproduced as described in my first post.

Is there any visibility when a fix might be available?

Regards,
Elena

Re: reports don't render after upgrade

Hello Team,

Are there any updates on this?

I'm having the same problem. Just upgraded Ranorex from 5.4.2 to 6.2.1. The reports produced at the end of the test (*.rxlog and *.rxzlog) are not displaying the nice styling when running with Ranorex 6.2.1

Re: Ranorex 5.4.2 does not recognise DOM in Firefox 51.0.1

Hi, Thank you for your reply, I am well aware that the Ranorex version I'm using is out of date, but at the moment I cannot do the upgrade as my team is close to a production release. Therefore my question still stands if Ranorex 5.4.2 has compatibility issues with Firefox. I'm asking not because I ...

Ranorex 5.4.2 does not recognise DOM in Firefox 51.0.1

Hello, I've encountered the problem where Find<WebDocument>(rxPath, duration) method does not return any element for '/dom[@BrowserName='Mozilla' and @pageurl!='about:blank' and @Valid='true']' path on Firefox 51.0.1; the adapter calling the method is Host.Local The same Ranorex method works with Fi...

Antivirus exception for Ranorex processes

Hello, I want to know what are the Ranorex processes that need to be added as exceptions for an antivirus software. The application under test has a web part and a few WPF desktop apps. The Ranorex tests are running as MS test methods on Win 7, Win 8.1 and Win 10 VMs, in IE11 and Chrome. The reason ...

Firefox: Changing 'class' attribute not reflected in browser

Hello, I came across a case where changing the 'class' attribute for a nav html tag in Firefox is not reflected in browser. The same 'class' update works in Chrome and IE. More exactly in the application under test, there is a navigation bar (nav html tag) for which I'm updating the 'class' attribut...

How do I enable the Ranorex Add On in MS Edge

Hello, I want to ask how the Ranorex Add-On can be enabled in Microsoft Edge. I was expecting to find the Microsoft Edge option under Web section when running the Instrumentation Wizard, but is not there. If no add-on is needed, how Ranorex recognises the Edge browser and elements on web pages? Usin...

Re: Upgrade from 5.2 to 5.4 made paths to WPF elements invalid

Hi Markus, Thank you for your reply. Using 'UiaOnly' value for WPF Legagy/UIA Interaction plug-in, all paths used to identify elements are working without any alteration. But my concern is about future support of this backwards compatibility setting. Currently I'm working on an automation framework ...

Upgrade from 5.2 to 5.4 made paths to WPF elements invalid

Hello Team, I've just upgraded Ranorex from version 5.2 to version 5.4 and discovered that paths used to identify elements for a WPF application are not valid any more. For example the path /form[@automationid='MainWindow' and @ProcessId='{0}' and @Visible='true' and @Valid='true'] is finding now 2 ...

Low performance when running tests on VM

Hi,

I'm working on a testing framework built on top of Ranorex API. I've noticed that the execution time is at least 2 times higher on a dedicated VM compared to local machine.

I was wondering if you have any performance tips for running tests on a VM.

Thank you,
Elena

Re: LineageGlueRule 'chrome_web_child_elements' caused RanorexEx

Hi Markus,

A Ranorex upgrade is in plan but it might take a while since other teams are using Ranorex and we have to do it at a convenient time for everyone. I'll come back to this with an update.

Thank you,
Elena
