Re: Validate Outlook mail
In case it helps: we had to view and retrieve a uniquely generated security code (for AUT user authentication purposes) delivered in an Outlook email. It was easier to set up an Outlook rule to filter inbound emails containing the security codes and route them to a dedicated email folder. Then Ranor...

Re: Cannot Start Firefox v. 57 (64-bit)
Thank you odklizcek, I tried the reinstall after removing v. 54 but will try again, and then try the registry edit. Many thanks and will respond here with results.

Cannot Start Firefox v. 57 (64-bit)
Hello I recently got an updated FF browser (v. 57.0.2 64-bit) and have been trying to run a simple test against our AUT. I've searched other posts in the forum/web, and to try and get it working, have dragged/dropped the Ranorex FF plugin into Firefox to ensure it's enabled. I can therefore track el...

Thank you both, it's very helpful of you! I will probably run into more novice-level problems but will give it a try.

Re: Webpage login - can Ranorex remember previous session?
Thanks very much for your patience/assistance krstcs - here's the line I can actually track as an onscreen element: Your temporary security code is XXXXXXXX. This code expires in 15 minutes. Expiration Time: Mon Nov 14 14:57:14 EST 2016 ...where XXXXXXXX = the unique sec. code (alphanum in all caps)...

Re: Webpage login - can Ranorex remember previous session?
Thanks - I tracked the section of the email containing the security code and it's identified as 'rawtext' in the Path Editor (sorry I'm still quite a novice when it comes to the tool) - it displays as a long string, a sentence basically, containing the Sec. Code. I just don't know how to get the Sec...

Re: Webpage login - can Ranorex remember previous session?
Thank you krstcs - I just use the Open Browser command with the URL populated in that step (it's actually its own recording module consisting of just that 1 action). I tried to get the security code/PIN from both Outlook desktop and Outlook web-client but, in the emails with the security code, Ranor...

Webpage login - can Ranorex remember previous session?
Hi I'm a novice user of Ranorex (v. 6.0) in a Windows/.NET environment (Win. 7, IE 11/Chrome/FF latest versions). I searched the forum but couldn't find a similar issue - here's my question: I have a web-app that requires 2nd factor authentication to log-in (i.e. a security code/PIN that gets emaile...

Re: Get all elements of a certain type
Johannes where does this code live in the code module template that's created? Do I paste it after the... { Mouse.DefaultMoveTime = 300; Keyboard.DefaultKeyPressTime = 100; Delay.SpeedFactor = 1.0; } ...section? Thanks again. -PH * * * EDIT * * * Wow, I got it to work. I'm not sure I'm doing it corr...

Re: Get all elements of a certain type
Hello, hope I can add to this thread with a similar question please, I think this is the right topic. I'm an extreme novice at test automation (no coding experience) and am lucky enough to have Ranorex Professional license and am currently running v. 5.4.4.2 If possible I would like to execute a sim...

Re: download ranorex 5.3.3
Hi, don't mean to hi-jack the thread but thought this was the correct place to post my question: does the order matter in which you update the floating license manager version versus the client version? I.E. is it required that we always update one before the other? Hope my question makes sense and ...
