Merging two projects into one
Hello, We have had an intern working for us for the last few weeks and has been creating some tests in Ranorex, I found out that he has created them in a separate project to the existing project we already have. He has set up various Recording Modules and sorted them into test cases, how can I copy ...

Re: validating multiple excel files with the same tests
Sure, In the example I am working on at the moment, the Excel filename is D84ED8A7-E60F-49BA-896B-D4D3D6F. This file will be created using specific options, what I am testing is that the various options all work as intended, with an Excel file being created and validated for each option. The options...

Re: validating multiple excel files with the same tests
The only option I can think of is changing the system so the Excel output is consistently named, with only the last part of the name changing to distinguish between the different documents.
Are there any other options?

Re: Closing application
Hi asdf,
Disabling the caching for the parent item worked perfectly.
I tried using the close application option but it still opens the "do you want to save" prompt which was the part I was having trouble with.
Thanks again.
Steve

Closing application
Ranorex 5.4.5 Windows 7 Hi, Im having a minor issue trying to get Ranorex to close Excel after I have finished validating the contents. Ive got a simple recording to close Excel by hitting the close icon in the top right corner, however as part of the validation check, I extend the width of a column...

Re: Screenshot Validation
Hi Pavel, Thanks again for the reply and the suggestion. The intended use of screenshot validation was more of a shortcut because of the amount of data in the spreadsheet that needs to be validated. Ive had a rethink and instead ive managed to condense the data I will be validating while still meeti...

Re: Screenshot Validation
Hi odklizec, Thanks for the response, the text based file validation appears to be the way to go if I am understanding the description correctly. It seems that I can basically compare the content of the file with another file that already exists - if this is true, then it sounds almost exactly the s...
