Re: Fail to Generate Log File

Hello Gary, There is an option to turn off opening reports right after the test suite completes. The report is still generated and is located in the ../bin/Debug folder. To access this option go to "Tools"->"Option" and find the "Open report after execution"option and make sure it is not disabled. ...

Re: Batch Job Testing

Hi, At first, the snapshot you posted revealed that you are using Ranorex 6.1.1, which is too old and no longer supported. Please update to latest 6.2.1. At next, the table you are working with is apparently not fully recognized by Ranorex. The only cells it recognized is the one with Job Code in s...

Re: Batch Job Testing

Hello Gary, I do not have access to your application so I will use some other application where I imagine the structure could be similar. Your table will probably hold multiple jobs at the same time, some have a valid Job Key and some not? I can give you some directions for only 1 row. For Conditio...

Re: A Generci Question

Hi, I would suggest you to start with " Data-Driven Test Automation with Ranorex " screencast, available here: http://www.ranorex.com/support/screencasts.html This should give you an idea how to properly automate such validation task. A Generci Question

Hi all A question for all the gurus out there...... I am trying to automate a basic test (record and play) wherein the system generates a letter for the client. All I want Ranorex to do is verify that the name and address of the customer on the letter is correct. Any suggestions how would I go about...

Re: Validating a value in a row

Hi Gary, I'm afraid, there is no screenshot attached to your post. Anyway, screenshots are usually useless in such cases. Please post a Ranorex snapshot instead (learn how to create one > here <). Additionally, Ranorex 5.4 is way too old and no longer supported. Please download the latest version 6...

Validating a value in a row

Hi I am new to Ranorex and we are currently using version 5.4 with trial licence key. Kindly refer to the screenshot which I have attached for your reference. My question is that how do I make Ranorex verify that the New Cash added on 07/12/2016 is £250 ? I have no coding experience therefore would ...

Re: KeyPass Test Failed

Hello gary, As Robin wrote, this might have different reasons. The most common reason is that the control is not fully loaded when Ranorex performs a click on this element. Do you execute the test on a virtual machine? If yes, maybe the vm doesn't have enough resources or is just slow. Please check...

Did you run the sample project? Do you also see the problem there?

Cheers,

No I didn't run the sample project but I experience similar issues with the test I've created for our internal application.
