Sendkeys: weird behavior when using overloads

Post by Marianne Jacobsen » Wed Dec 10, 2008 3:07 pm

The Sendkeys overloads has some strange behavior (at least from what I've experienced)

I'm trying to send the character * to a textfield.

If I use SendKeys("*"); it works perfectly but SendKeys("*", 1,1); inputs the character ' into the textfield. If I use SendKeys("*",1); Ranorex inputs a combination of ' and *.

I cannot reproduce this behavior with the Application.SendKeys method. That's why I assume that you are using the Control.SendKeys method. Please, try the corresponding method from the Application class instead, the Control.SendKeys method does not work with every control.
