SetAttributeValue does not work on iOS

Post by aboerzel » Thu Aug 08, 2019 11:44 am

I'm trying desperately to enter values with SetAttributeValue (..) in input fields under iOS. Although the entered values are initially displayed in the respective input field, they are not really accepted!

I've already tried all the "hacks" I've found in the forum, like pressing the SPACE and DELETE key after entering to trigger the changed event. Unfortunately, this hack works only if the input field has no maximum length limit, as in my case.

What can I do to reliably enter values under iOS?

This problem is for us a "showstopper" regarding the use of Ranorex for the test automation!

Unfortunately, without, at very least, Ranorex snapshot (NOT screenshot), there is not much anyone here can suggest. But I suspect that even snapshot may not be enough for this particular case. If none of the suggested workarounds you found works for you, I would suggest to contact Ranorex support (via support form) and provide them with your app, so they can analyze the issue.
