Simplified test deployment

Post by work2fly » Tue Dec 19, 2017 1:31 pm

Ranorex 8 has the ability to use: Simplified test deployment

Simplified test deployment: Ranorex tests can be generated as portable packages, so there is no Ranorex Runtime installation required.

As we test on multiple OS versions this really appeals to me. It's a bit of hassle every time we upgrade to re-snapshot about 20 different VM's with the updated ranorex install.

Anyone actually used this yet or worked out how to enable it? I can't seem to find any steps or options in the docs.
I also attempted to log a support question yesterday morning asking the same but not had a response back as yet.

Hi,

There is a new option in Ranorex Settings. See this post:

That is very interesting. How does one deal with the license?
Thanks!
