Smart folders and multiple data source

Post by sakshi. » Mon Dec 31, 2018 6:22 am

I am following the hierarchy for my suite as:
Test Suite:
Smart Folder
Tc 1 : Setup -recording-Teardown
TC 2: Setup -recording-Teardown

In my second test case , I am using two data sources
1- Multi browser(runs in chrome and then in I.E)
2- Different inputs (two fields with dropdown list of values)

when I am binding the values one of the variable is unbound.
Please suggest as what needs to be done so that TC performs multi browser and dynamic value t the same time.

hey Sashi,

You can't use multiple data connectors on one test case.
Maybe you can think of using only one data connector with your browser column and the payment data columns, or you create a sub-smartfolder where you create the payment data connector.

I tried with suggested way but didn't work as it displays error on opening the browser. Although binding was still saved but on running the test case it displays error.

Testcase works fine when run individually with
1. Data source: Multi- Broswer
2. Payment Type: Different values(dynamically)

When trying to run automatically it displays error.

What my testcase does is
open browser-login-LOGIC-Close

i want to setup the testcase in such a way that it executes with dynamic value for each browser in one go.
pls suggest

hey,

It's quite hard to suggest an optimal approach without knowing exactly what you want to do in your test and what data you want to enter.
Therefore, could you please give us more details about the steps you would like to perform?
Please also let us know if the Payment Arrangement data needs to be different for each browser.
The more detailed you describe the steps of your test, the easier it is for the community to give you helpful hints.
