Source Control suggestions

We are trying to use Mercurial Kiln (not integrated with Ranorex) as source control for Ranorex. Over the last week we've had multiple testers working with and editing the repository and we are now in a bad state (can't get the repository merged without losing someone's changes). Is anyone use Mercurial and are there ways for the repository to merge? Do other source control tools work well for merging repository changes? Suggestions?

Unfortunately I don't have much experience with Mercurial and this is not directly an issue with Ranorex. Maybe one of other users in our forum can help solving your issue.
