Setup:
Chrome version 17.0.963.83
Open Ranorex Spy
1. Close Chrome
2. Open Chrome
3. In Element Browser tab in Spy click the Refresh icon
4. Navigate to a web site by typing the url in the address box (e.g. bbc.co.uk)
5. Wait until the page has loaded and click Refresh in Spy
What happened:
Dom WebDocument for the page does not show in the tree in Spy; which also means clicking Track in Spy and pointing to an element on the web page will not find anything (nothing gets highlighted by Spy).
If it does not repro close Chrome and try again (repeat from step 1) until it repros.
Sometimes it also repros after step 3 (the home page Dom does not show in Spy).
I have done many tests on Windows on IE 9, Firefox 11 and Safari and these browsers never have this problem.

Is there an update on this issue? I'm having problems when I try to get the current Chrome version.

Hi,
The original issue should be solved!
For the next time, please post your question to another or new thread as your question has, in my opinion, not really something to do with the topic of this post.
How did you try to get the version of Chrome and which Ranorex version are you using?
Regards,
Markus
