Sql error

Post by sivakumaran » Fri Oct 28, 2016 9:11 am

Hello,
we use Sql server local DB to store our test data.
when our ranorex tests are running, we get the following error.

Failed to get rows from data source: Failed to load SQL data. Connection Timeout Expired. The timeout period elapsed while attempting to consume the pre-login handshake acknowledgement. This could be because the pre-login handshake failed or the server was unable to respond back in time. The duration spent while attempting to connect to this server was - [Pre-Login] initialization=44158; handshake=619; The wait operation timed out

If some one has experience the same error, please help.

thanks & regards,
Siva

Have you checked google for the specific error code?

You say it is a local DB, but does that mean it is local to the system that the test is running on, or that it is local to your network/building? This issue is usually caused by network issues, but if it is on the local system then it is probably something else.

More information would be helpful.

Also, you did not mention what version of Ranorex you are using and what OS(es) you are running on. Please always include those when raising issues.
