Taking a screen shot of system pop up in Android

Post by tvu » Mon Oct 16, 2017 11:53 pm

Hi All,

I sometimes get an "Injecting to another application requires INJECT_EVENTS permission" error during my automation. I highly suspect that there is a system pop up showing at the time of the error. But, the screenshot in the reports doesn't show this pop up. I was able to manual reproduce the same type of error by reinstalling the app and try to interact with the device via Spy while having the "Allow location permission" system pop up visible. I can visually see the pop up on the device, but Spy can't.

I would like a way to take a screen shot of whatever is showing on the screen at the time of the failure.

Thanks.
