Test.exe has stopped working

Post by kathrin » Tue Apr 17, 2018 12:17 pm

Hi,
I am currently testing an SAP system.
One of the transactions runs for a very long time (> 1h). In the module that starts the transaction, I wait for the "successful-completed-dialogue".

When I run the test case, the transaction starts as expected, but the Ranorex program generates an error after some minutes ("Test.exe has stopped working" -> Debug or Close?).

Does anyone have any idea what this might be?

Thanks, K

Hi,

At first, which Ranorex version are you using? Make sure you have latest 8.1.1. installed.

At second, you can try to increase functionexecutiontimeout value, as described here:
https://www.ranorex.com/forum/about-app ... tml#p46091
Instead of "Ranorex.Config7.xml", search and modify "Ranorex.Config8.xml" file. Hope this helps?

Hi

I have ranorex 6.2.1 . And the RanorexConfig6.xml does not have that parameter. What parameter should I look for then in the same situation?

Hi,

I’m afraid, Ranorex 6.2.1 is too old and no longer supported. There is nothing that can be done with such old version. Your only hope is to try most recent 9.0.1 (even in trial mode) and hope for the best.
