Testing virtual panels

Post by houba » Wed Mar 02, 2016 3:41 pm

Good day,
New on Ranorex, coming from other tools. In evaluation period and need some help on testing graphical panels. I am simulating a hardware panel (like you could do in LabView).

Look at the picture. When the button is pressed, graphic must reflect that button is pressed and also the text is illuminated.

I know it is doable with user code. But can I do it with Record feature. The problem is that when I want to "VALIDATE" (using the record feature) I have to release the button (mouse click) in order to press the VALIDATE button and of course my screen capture is not the one I'm expecting.

Thanks.
Alex.

Hi,

You can invoke the Validation command also by shortcut! Please check the "Recorder Hotkeys" at the end of this user guide chapter...

Hope this helps?

Good day,
Yes it works, thank you for your quick reply. It was unclear to me how to use the hotkeys and that I had to wait for the tool to capture the zone (sandclock) before releasing my mouse click.
