The Ranorex application failed to connect to the Ranorex License Manager

Post by OPT-Liuxm » Sat Jan 11, 2020 4:07 am

Hello, I'd like to ask you a question.
I have my own account, but I always get an error when connecting.
Sometimes also connect, but after a period of time automatically can not connect.
What caused the Ranorex License Manager connection to fail?Ping IP can also spell the past, why the connection was rejected.
Can someone help me? thank you.

Hello everyone,This error is no longer reported.
But you are now prompted for this information when you are ready to connect to the license.

Hi,

As for your second issue, my guess is, that you've installed most recent Ranorex version (9.2.1), which is not covered by your existing license? Please remember, that Ranorex license covers one year of support and maintenance! If your existing license is older than one year, it must be renewed (check renewal prices) in order to continue getting newer versions and support!

Hello!

What Pavel said is correct, I would also verify there are actually licenses available on the License Manager. You can also see to which clients they are currently leased to.

Hi~
Thank you for your answers.

That problem is still unresolved
Now,I installed the license manager on the local service computer, which Ranorex could use.But other colleagues' computers could not access my license management, so Ranorex could not be used.
So I'm the only one connected to Ranorex so far.

So is it mainly because the company didn't renew the contract?

Hello

I would recommend opening a support query so that the support team can look into the issue, especially if it pertains to your license.

Hi,

If the license manager and license works locally and not from the server (on the same network), then there is most probably something wrong with the network/license manager configuration. A most common cause of issue like this is closed port 7266. Please make sure that the port 7266 TCP/UDP is open.

And of course, make sure that you and your colleagues using Ranorex version, covered by your existing license. If the license you are using now was purchased longer than one year ago, it will most certainly not work with latest 9.2.1 and must be renewed.
