Hi mander,

Unfortunately, I'm not exactly sure if I understood your question correctly.
However, you can use the Ranorex Spy to get the path of every element on your desktop by clicking the "Track"-button.

Please get back to me, if I misunderstand your intention.

Best regards,
Matthias

So i'm trying to make a function that takes in a string which is supposed to be the accessible name of a repository item and the path to the intended page and clicks it based on the given information. But what would make it even more convenient is if it only takes in the accessible name, finds the page automatically within a given software, and then clicks it. So is that possible?

Hi Mander,

Unfortunately, it's not possible to set the accessible name during runtime.
In order to find a suitable workaround for you, i would suggest writing an email to [email protected].
Please also explain your intention as detailed as possible in this email.

I'm looking forward to your email.

Kind regards,
Matthias
