Unable to track the element for joining one item to another

Post by Sandeep1632 » Mon Feb 24, 2020 4:15 pm

Hi,

Can someone help me to achieve the below scenario using user code module.
We have a requirement in one of our test case where we need to join two columns. for example
order_id column in load_order_header need to joined with order_id column in load_order_line table.
Tried tracking the elements but could not track them and also we are not sure how to join two points in Ranorex.
Could someone help us here.
Attached is the screen shot for reference.
Also attached the snapshot file.

Thanks,
Sandeep

Hi,

Unfortunately, the control in question apparently does not have properly implemented accessibility, which means, that Ranorex cannot "see" its elements. I'm afraid, your only hope is using Image-based automation. But it may be complicated and entirely reliable in complicated scenarios. But it's probably your only hope? You can start here:

I think your best hope is to ask developers of the "joint" control, to enable/implement accessibility support for individual elements inside given control. There is no way around.
