Using the "Checkout" option in Source Control clones the existing repository at the required location.
I am currently using a rather large repository which I would not like to clone again.
Is there a way to use the existing repository clone that I already use to commit code without cloning another?

Found the solution.
Turns out you have to install Git with the following setting.
