Any reason why you didn't update your existing thread with this?
http://www.ranorex.com/forum/api-docume ... t2382.html

Also, have you check out this documentation? It's not all complete but there are lots of examples to get you going: http://www.ranorex.com/support/user-gui ... mples.html

Hi,
i was looking for the code example that included on API document not excluded from the API.
At the moment there are no such code examples included in the API document, but as Peter mentioned
We already have a feature request in our BugTracking System. This will be released with a future release of Ranorex, but I cannot tell you when.
we are working to improve our API documantation.

Hi,

We are working on this topic, but we cannot provide foreach method a code sample, therefore we create samples or blogs for frequently asked issues.

Hi,

as Peter wrote, we cannot provide a code sample for each method, but we will publish blogs more often and we recently improved the UserGuide.
There you will find code samples and the most important parts of Ranorex are also well described:
Code Samples, User Guide.

The code samples are a bit light on really and they don't cover much of the scope of possible funtionality.

Maybe its time you asked the community to help in submitting API code samples.

Hi,
Maybe its time you asked the community to help in submitting API code samples.
I will forward the recommendation and we will discuss how we can provide more code samples.

There is already a section in the forum, "Automation Modules", where everyone can post code modules/samples.

Have a look at php online manual, for example this page:
http://www.php.net/manual/en/control-structures.for.php
sometimes most useful information there is posted in comments by users.

Hi,

I would like to +1 artur_gadomski's suggestion. Why not use the force of web 2.0? I would really like to contribute if I could.

Best Regards,
Zoltan

Another vote here! Currently, it's very hard to use the Ranorex API. A lot of thing can be figured out by searching this forum. But many less obvious or used methods are not described anywhere. Better API guide with code examples could save a lot of time and energy at both sides (support and users). Enabled comment section (with possibility to attach files) is a very good idea! I'm sure many people here have a piece of code to share?
