Hi,
I have started evaluating your product. I want to log on to a website and download an excel worksheet using a vb program, I don't know where to start. I can do this successfully by 'record' and 'play' using the tool.

Thanks

Hi and welcome here,

Starting with Recorder is OK. Ranorex recorded works quite well and it can save a lot of time, even for very experienced users, who usually code their tests ;)

Anyway, I would suggest to check these screencasts...
http://www.ranorex.com/support/screencasts.html
These should help you to understand the basics.

Then read the User Guide and try the individual lessons from the user guide.

And there are also free webinars...

If you cannot or don't want to wait for the next one, I believe there are some older webinars available at youtube? ;)

Ah sorry. From your initial post I mistakenly thought you are working with VB .Net code directly in Ranorex? I'm afraid, I can't help you with VS VB .NET integration.

Have you tried the VS integration steps from this post?

If they does not work for you, then I would suggest to contact Ranorex support at [email protected].
