Object recognition (strange path editor (any keyword))

Hi,

I have a strange behaviour, I have two computers ComputerA & ComputerB. Using the same ranorex snapshot file, I obtain two different interpretations in the path editor (see SnapShotMachineA.png and SnapShotMachineB.png, and a MS spy++).
So when I try to run my Rx script on the ComputerA, it fails on object recognition.
If I redo the record on ComputerA, the script can be played on Computer B, but failed on ComputerA.
If I redo the record on ComputerB, the script can be played on Computer B, but failed on ComputerA.

On the two computers, I have the same Ranorex version 6.0.1 and the same OS Win7 x64.

What is wrong ?

Regards,

Hi,

Unfortunately, you seem forgot to upload the snapshot from the other machine?

Anyway, after opening the attached snapshot, it throws an error:
Failed to load the assemblies containing the definition of this control. UI element identification capabilities for this control are limited. Failed assemblies:
C:\Program Files\KAPPA\Workstation 5.12\Launcher\KAPPA.exe
Process: 'KAPPA' (pid 7840)

So it seems to me that there is something missing on the machine where you saved the snapshot (incorrect/missing library, different version of .net, etc...). I guess the snapshot is from machine B?

BTW, Ranorex 6.0.1 is way too old and no longer supported. A lot of things have been fixed and improved since 6.0.1. So you should definitely update to latest 6.2.1.

Hi,

Please find herewith the snapshot done on computerB.
We have the same behaviour with Ranorex 6.2.1 on ComputerA.

Hi,

I'm afraid, both snapshots (Main and Their) were taken on the same machine "FRA-D-203" (I guess machine B) and so their xpaths are the same ;)
