Unable to Record or Validate Until Restart

On occasion, I am getting an issue wherein recording and validation stop working. I can select the options from the recording window, but I can't higlight any field for validation, and recorded items don't save. If I restart the software, I can continue as normal. I am using version 5.0.3.18203.

Any assistance would be gratefully received.

Hi,

It's hard to say what's wrong without seeing your AUT and knowing more about your system (OS version, HW configuration,...).

Anyway, Ranorex 5.0.3 is waaaaay to old and no longer supported ;) At first, you should try to reproduce your problem with last supported versions (6.2.1 or most recent 7.0). If the problem persists in these versions, it's definitely something Ranorex folks would most probably like to see (via remote session). If the problem is gone, you have your answer ;)

Thank you. I am in discussion with the Ranorex sales team about a potential upgrade, but there's a couple of questions I have before I go back to my superiors. I wouldn't be surprised if this no longer happened in the latest version.
