Good morning everybody,

I am greeted with Ranorex's usage statistics Dialog everytime I log in an start Ranorex. This is obviously related to our rather ... distinct profile-settings. I had a quick look with process monitor but didn't find the obvious solution.

could you give me some pieces of information about where these settings ("don't show dialog again") are stored?

Hi,

Could you please post a screenshot of the dialog you are getting? I'm not quite sure what you mean by usage statistic dialog ;)

Hi,
I assume he is talking about the following dialog
Usage_Statistics.jpg
I've checked the RanorexConfig.xml file and saw that there is one entry in the IgnoredDialogs tag
ignoredDialogs.png
If I remove this entry, the dialog is shown again. So I'd suggest checking the settings file if this entry is present. If not you can just add it manually
<tools.IgnoredDialogs>
TelemetryAcceptance;
</tools.IgnoredDialogs>
Hope this helps,
DP!

Thanks for the hint, that seems to be it (pretty obvious but I was looking at the wring location.

However, under Ranorex 7 it's the file "RanorexConfig7.xml" and the node is called

<Telemetry.Enabled>
False/True
</Telemetry.Enabled>

Best regards,
Andy

Sorry, I was confused with "Ranorex 6.2" version in Andy's signature. And I completely forgot about this dialog in Ranorex 7 (which I probably disabled during first start ;) ).
