Hi Team,

Conde Nast has 7 licenses. 2 Premium and 5 runtime. When I install these on my local it works in license manager but in VM it shows, this license has exceeded its limits to install on one machine.

Hi,

From what you've described, it seems that you are trying to install an already installed license(s) on another computer with Ranorex license server? I guess your licenses are floating? Then you should not install them locally, but on a machine, which is always online and accessible to all Ranorex users. On this machine, you should install Ranorex license server, where you should enter all your licenses. Then on local machine, you should simply enter the name/IP of the machine, which hosts Ranorex license server. That's all.

So, if you already installed license server on your local machine, you should uninstall all licenses from it, remove license server, then install license server and Ranorex licenses on an always ON machine in your network.

BTW, there is 90 days license transfer lock, which prevents transferring licenses between computers on a daily basis. Once you transfer the license to another computer, you will not be able to transfer it again for next 90 days. So plan the transfer carefully! ;)

In above, local machine I should give IP/name in license manager or in Ranorex agent or in studio ? Where I should give the IP. We have 6 floating runtime and 2 premium floating license. I have installed premium floating in my local and runtime floating in VM.

Hi,

You should install all floating licenses on machine, which will serve as a Ranorex license server. There is no point installing floating licenses locally. Simply install all licenses in license server. Then on local machine, start Ranorex Licensing app and enter name/IP of license server:
