How to exclude certain file types from searches, e.g. *.rxlog

Very often when using the Search or Search/Replace feature of Ranorex Studio, we get hits from all of the View.rxlog files which Ranorex has created in our projects. I find this quite annoying for 2 reasons: (1) in several years of using Ranorex, we were _never_ interested in hits from these files, and (2) some of the javascripts in these files are monstrous one-liners, and this significantly slows down the browsing through the search results.

Is there a way to exclude file types, e.g. *.rxlog, from a search in Ranorex Studio? Thanks!

Hi,

As far as I know, there is no option to exclude certain file types from search. The only solution I can think of is setting particular file types you want to search. But I found no way to specify multiple file types, so you will most probably have to specify and search one by one ;) Honestly, I'm personally using Notepad++ for search and replace in files (instead of Ranorex-own search&replace facility).
