Team,

If we stop the execution unexpectedly due to some system issue, I am lost with the Log/Report which is generated while in execution. Is there a way to re-collect the log.

E.g. I am executing the script which will run for about an hour, if suppose some issue happens in the middle of half way onto the execution, I am not getting log /report in the Reports folder with the latest test run happens.

Regards,
Dal...

Hi,

The Report will be generated, but it will not be renamed to *.rxlog. You should find a file named *.tmp in your output directory for the Report. This file rename to *.rxlog and you should be able to open the file.

Hi Peter,

I am not finding any .tmp file in the Reports folder when I stop the script execution abruptedly.
Is there any setting to be specified any where in the tool before the execution to view the temp logs.

We are using the latest version v2.3.4 of Ranorex.

Hi Dal,

There should be a file on your hard drive named *.rxlog.tmp. Please try to search your computer for this file. Maybe it is placed on another location. Take a look to the release notes of Ranorex 2.3.4. There you will find a fixed bug called "XML report is now correctly written even if Ranorex process is killed"
