Not able to connect to license server

Hi,
We have license server in one machine and we are trying to use one VM (VMware) to run our scripts. When I tried to use 'rarorex licensing tool , it is not able to detect the license server.

Any idea what I am missing here?

Um, obvious questions first...
Can you ping the license server from the VM machine by IP and machine name?

And did you make sure that port 7266 is not blocked by the firewall on the machine running the Ranorex license server? Port 7266 must be opened for both TCP and UDP as explained in the Ranorex User Guide:

I am not sure what was going on yesterday with the server. Today after restarting license server, I was able to connect from the VM without any issue.
