I'm afraid, there is not enough info in your post to provide a reasonable answer. Please add some more details in description of your problem.

Personally, I would never add login steps to a module which should serve another purpose. Logins steps should be kept in a login specific module. If your test requires login somewhere in the middle of test, then you should split (I guess single) recording module into multiple modules and add login module where needed.
