UI element not found using relative path

Hi Guys

Hope someone here can help me - I am creating a solution in Ranorex Studio using a desktop application.

The test completes successfully however there are a few warnings which are all the same, warning message below,

"Item 'Expenses300Repository.ApplicationUnderTest.AddExpense' could be found using its absolute path, but not using its relative path from the cached element of parent folder 'Expenses300Repository.ApplicationUnderTest'. This can happen if either the item search timeout is too small or if items within a rooted folder do not share a common parent element. To fix this problem, first increase the item search timeout. If this does not help, create a separate rooted folder for this item or disable caching for the specified folder."

I have tried the suggestions in the above message to resolve the issue but to no avail. I have uploaded a snap shot.

Please can someone help?

Thanks

Darren

Every time I have seen this warning, the third recommendation in the warning resolve the issue. Did you try disabling the caching feature on the root repository item of the problematic element? The 'Use cache' property should be set to false as pictured below.

Hello, I would like to know where this setting is for version 8.0.
Use cache. :D

That's a setting of long standing, so it's in the Properties pop-out tab for each repository item.
